Yes at last a full weekends racing on one the top courses in the England

 

RIDER INFORMATION -
Dave Pearce and his team 'Pearce Cycles' welcome you to the Bringewood Chase, which will host round 5 of the Downhill and round 3 of the Cross country races in the Specialized Super Series (Change of venue as Hopton Castle Wood is currently still closed)
The following info will answer most of the questions you may have

THE VENUE
Previously playing successful host to both National and Regional events, this is the 6th year that Forest Enterprise has allowed this area of forest, 2 miles west of Ludlow, to be used for mountain bike races. There is a different Race HQ to usual. It is located 1.5miles within Bringewood forest.
Because of the foot and mouth situation, please observe Forestry Commission signs, keep off all neighbouring farm land and use the disinfectant mats at the forest entrance and in race village.
Please ensure that all bikes and vehicles are clean on arrival

THE COURSES
The now established downhill course is to be used - tried and tested during the Winter Series. Taking in rooty sections, moguls, fast and flowing singletrack, choice of lines - you choose the best!
The Cross country course is a 4 mile lap, with lots of new sections and improvements following last year's wet race, but still include technical climbs and descents, fast and flowing single track.

GETTING THERE - map
From the South:
Take A49 north from Hereford to Ludlow (20 miles). Take the B4361 to Ludlow. In 2 miles (before traffic lights at Ludford Bridge) turn left - sp Burrington/Wigmore. Keep on this road for 2 miles. Approx. 0.25mile after Forestry Commission Office turn right into forest and follow signs.
From the North:
Take A49 south from Shrewsbury to Ludlow (24 miles). Stay on A49 bypass around Ludlow, over 2 traffic islands, then in 1 mile turn right onto B4361 to Ludlow. Directions as for above.
From the East:
Take A4117 from Kidderminster to Ludlow (20 miles). At island, turn left onto A49- SP Leominster. Over the next island. In 1 mile turn right, take B4361 to Ludlow. Directions as for above.

CAR PARKING
Parking is along the forest road on hard surface. Please park with consideration for other competitors. Please follow the Marshall's instructions at all times.

ACCOMMODATION

There is no camping on site at all. The nearest camping/touring caravan/motor home site is at North Farm - the riding school 0.5mile on left before race site entrance. Showers, toilets and washroom are available - please ring 01584 872026 Mr and Mrs P Dickin for details.

SITE FACILITES
Basic toilets on site. Hot and cold food available.
