Cannock
Chase has something of a legendary
status in British Mountain Biking. Way back in the sports
history the midlands forest was home to loads of races. The early
races were were real tough cookies. There are miles of rolling and
dippy trails out there. The cross country course includes plenty
of these trails including everyone's favorite the roller coaster.
The forestry commission is also keen to
develop the area and would like you to get involoved.A meeting will
be arranged soon to find out what people want and if they are willing
to help out to make the changes, if you are interested please send
an e-mail to cannockhelp@nakedracing.co.uk
and i will let you know the date of the meeting.
Keep checking back for when racing will start
or add to your mailing
list

The
Cannock Chase Cross-Country courses over the years have become to
be regarded by Pros and Beginners as one of the finest and most
enjoyable rides in the country. There are fire roads and single
track; long climbs, steep short climbs; rocks, sand and loamy soil;
tight sections in the trees then open forest. It's all there. Traction
is good regardless of weather, as the sandy soil sucks up rain amazingly
well.see
